Welcome!! I hope you enjoy viewing these creations of clay, inspired by my long connection with creatures of the wild, both in myth and prehistory. I grew up with a range of mountains as my back yard and spent nearly every summer of my youth hiking for days camping in old growth forest, climbing peaks and drinking from streams of snow melt. I felt more at "home" in these mountains and its furry inhabitants, than at any other time. Encounters with the bear or cougar were rare, but when they occurred the moment became sacred. This reverence for other life on the planet is evident in the caves I later visited in the southern part of France. The magnificent images of bison, horse, deer, aurochs, bear and the mountain lion are depicted in full vitality. There are caves that have images of rhinoseros, woolly mammoth, and even aquatic life. I hope that the work I produce will stir something deep within, perhaps a long forgotten memory of having once been an intimate part of nature. . .
